As Managing Partner of SHW, Russell chairs the management board which agrees the firm's strategy for growth, both organically and via acquisition.
He joined SHW in 2002 as a Chartered Building Surveyor within its Building Consultancy team in Crawley, following a successful period at Malcom Hollis Consultancy.
Within two years, Russell was promoted to Associate and was instrumental in decentralising the Building Consultancy Division to create regional building surveying teams in Brighton, London and Croydon.
Russell was promoted to Director in 2006 and appointed Divisional Head in 2010. During his tenure, divisional turnover increased year on year with his team delivering all core building surveying services across the South of England to a growing client base.
Further expansion included building surveying teams in Worthing and Eastbourne, extended service coverage to clients in Kent and Hampshire, and additional Planning and Health & Safety service lines.
Russell is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and has over 25 years' experience assisting clients in both commercial and residential sectors. His excellent communication skills have helped to forge stronger relationships between clients and delivered high service levels.
In his spare time, Russell enjoys coaching grass-roots football and exploring the South Downs on his mountain bike.
