Richard is the Head of the Professional Services Division which incorporates the Lease Advisory, Valuation, Business Rates and Leasehold Enfranchisement service lines. Richard is responsible for the performance and growth of the Division.

He is a specialist lease advisory surveyor, predominantly providing advice to landlords on all asset classes across the south-east. Richard has significant experience is negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals and lease restructuring and regularly acts as an expert witness.

Recent projects include:

• Providing 15 years of strategic advice on all lease advisory matters on a portfolio of 11 industrial estates located across the south east of England.
• Specialising in providing Lease Advisory advice to institutional landlords on various Brighton office buildings.
• Providing advice to the tenant in respect of the rent review on their Heathrow Airport Hangar.
• Agreeing regear terms on a 55,000 sq ft office building to a FTSE 100 company.
• Agreeing a lease renewal on a 36,000 sq ft office building to a government body.
• Providing long term advice to the landlord of an industrial estate in Brighton and achieving rental growth of 175% over the past 15 years.

Clients include RLAM, Schroders, Legal & General, Virgin Atlantic Airways, M&G, Kennedy Wilson, Glenstone REIT, BMO and various Local Authorities.
