James Yip joined Stiles Harold Williams in 2022 and is a Building Surveyor within the Building Consultancy team.  James completed his Batchelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Nottingham before pursuing a career in Building Surveying. 

With over 5 years’ experience previously working at a smaller consultancy firm, James has gained a breadth of knowledge and experience in the following areas of Building Surveying:

• Contract Administration

• Defect Analysis

• Dilapidations Matters

• Measured Surveys

• Party Wall Matters

• Planned Maintenance Plans

• Planning/Building Control Applications

• Licence to Alter/Landlord Approvals

• Reinstatement Cost Assessment

• Repair and Maintenance Works

James is currently based in the London office where he is looking to develop and expand his skills and experience in all core building surveying services within residential and commercial sectors, whilst also working towards completing the APC to achieve chartered status.
