Daud is Head of the Ratings Team at SHW and has good experience in the valuation of property for local taxation, having previously worked for the Valuation Office Agency for over 3 years and more recently 8 years in private practice for Colliers International specialising in Business Rates.
Daud has chaired various Retail RSA Town Committees and was responsible for negotiating large scale allowances and providing advice to other rating agents in relation to the disturbance caused by the Metro extension, the redevelopment of Grand Central Station and the installation of the District Heating System in Birmingham City Centre saving retailers over £3M in rates.

Secured the deletion of many large vacant properties including the former House of Fraser (Richmond), former Debenhams (Oxford Street), former Next (Guildford), as well as multimillion pound vacant office space in Kensington, Marlow and Weybridge, saving clients over £22M in rates.
Development Clients
Daud has managed and worked with many national housebuilder development clients including those listed below. He has secured the deletion of many of their development sites including Westgate House, Hangar Lane, Citiscape, Croydon and Woolmead, Farnham saving the clients over £7M in rates.
Retail Clients
Daud has managed and worked with many large retail clients in challenging the tone (base rate) applied to their occupied property. He has secured reductions in their Rateable Value saving them over £15M in rates.
Automotive Clients
As well as specialising in the deletion of vacant properties and reducing the values applied to retail, office and warehouse properties. Daud is an expert in the valuation of car showrooms and has managed and worked with many automotive clients including those listed below. He has deleted and reduced the value applied to Mercedes, Brentford and Dartford, reduced the valued applied to Tesla, Heathrow and Crawley saving the clients over £4M in rates.
