This is the second year SHW has supported St Catherine’s Hospice, one of its two nominated charities for 2024. St Catherine’s Hospice is a local charity with a big ambition: Celebrating its 40^th anniversary in 2023, the hospice provides physical and emotional support to people living with a life-limiting or terminal condition in the West Sussex and East Surrey area. They care for people at their home, in their Wellbeing centre and on their wards. Their reach also extends to the loved ones of those facing illness through support and counselling. In 2024 they opened their state-of-the-art new hospice facility in Pease Pottage.

Rachel Finn, Director of SHW, who had the pleasure of presenting the cheque, with funds raised from SHW’s various sporting and social events held in 2024, said: “St Catherine’s Hospice provides such vital support for people in their care, and their loved ones, and we are delighted to be able make a small difference in these individual’s lives. We are pleased to have all been able to help in other ways over the last two years with our Crawley/Gatwick office using their CSR day in 2023 to help St Catherine’s Hospice with the tree planting at their new hospice and participating in the annual Midnight Walk.”

In total, SHW has raised over £10,000 for St Catherine’s Hospice over the last two years of support.
