Commercial, Development, Retail & Leisure, SHW News
SHW have recently completed the sale of plot J, previously owned by Lidl in the Diplocks Way Industrial Estate, Hailsham, East Sussex to McDonalds.

The sale completed 31 Jan 2025 following successful planning consent for an undisclosed price and SHW were the sole agents on the property lot.
Plot J consisting of 0.75 acres is located on the modern Ropemaker Park within the main Diplocks Way Industrial Estate in the busy market town of Hailsham in East Sussex. The plot fronts South Road (A295) and is well connected to the A22 (Hailsham Bypass) leading to either London or Eastbourne, as well as the A27 towards Brighton or Hastings.
There are a host of both local and national operators in Ropemaker Park including KFC, Tesco Express, Howdens, Cablecraft and Marlow Ropes. The adjoining Diplocks Way Industrial Estate is home to many occupiers including Aspen Pumps, Argos, Wickes, Group 1 BMW / Mini, Screwfix, Toolstation, City Plumbing, City Electrical and Travis Perkins.
Max Perkins, surveyor at SHW comments:
“I am delighted to bring this disused and overgrown site back to life injecting another golden retailer to the market. Diplocks Way Industrial Estate is teaming with other retailers and is a perfect place for anyone to be located. I can only foresee good things happening from this sale and am looking forward to being able to help occupy this estate if the situation arises in the future.”
