SHW supports Crawley Community Awards 2023

The Crawley Community Awards returned for another year, with the awards ceremony held this week at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley.
With a variety of categories recognising the community work across the area, this year SHW sponsored the VOLUNTEER Award. Presented by SHW’s Partner Peter Coldbreath, the category was won by Jennifer Dobson.
Jennifer began helping to run the Pound Hill and Worth Parent and Toddler Group thirty years ago when her son was a toddler. For the past twenty years Jennifer has run the group herself.
Peter Coldbreath comments: “This is the first time we have sponsored these awards. It was a hugely rewarding evening with so many great people having amazing contributions to the Crawley community recognised. Well done to all the nominees and the category winners.”
The awards were presented by councillors, community leaders and representatives of the town’s business community. Fitting of the venue, the audience were treated to performances from local dance and theatre groups.
