SHW advises on the rent review for The Shard.

SHW were instructed to advise Al Jazeera International Limited regarding their 28,000 sq ft office premises at 32 London Bridge Street known as The Shard for the rent review as required by the lease.
Following detailed investigations Jonathan Shuttleworth, Director and Head of Commercial of SHW was able to use his expert knowledge of the central London office market to negotiate substantial savings from the landlords quoting rent resulting in a deal producing just over £2.2m rent savings over the 5 next years for the tenant.
Jonathan said of the result ‘its pleasing to be able to achieve a positive result for this valued client. We were able to negotiate using the evidence and avoid the much higher increase in rent proposed’.
