MITCHAM - EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL INDUSTRIAL REFURBISHMENT

SHW BCD provided Contract Administrator and Principal Designer services for an external and internal refurbishment of an industrial unit in Mitcham for a long standing SHW client.
The extent of the works included roofing repairs, the strip out of a mezzanine, full refurbishment of office, warehouse, kitchenette and WC areas and external and internal decorations.
The scope of the works undertaken by SHW included carrying out an initial inspection and compiling a schedule of works, preparing detailed tender documentation, a tender analysis report, regular progress inspection and certifying payment. In addition to this SHW fulfilled the Principal Designer role in accordance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 alongside our in house CDM advisor team.
SHW completed the works as specified, on time and within budget. SHW added value to the property through working closely with the Industrial Agency Department to assess the requirements of prospective tenants in the current economic climate. Following the refurbishment, the unit was successfully re-let within a month of completion.
