Designed to enhance the school’s outdoor facilities, this versatile space provides a safe and dynamic environment for a variety of sports and recreational activities.

The area is equipped with six full-sized goalposts—two positioned on the long side of the pitch to create a full-sized playing area, and two placed on each side of the shorter pitch, allowing for two teams to play at the same time.

In addition to football, the area also features basketball hoops mounted above the goalposts, making it ideal for basketball games. The ground markings are clearly defined for football, basketball, and even three badminton courts, catering to a range of activities and sports for students to enjoy. To ensure safety and comfort during use, the surface of the Hard Play Area is coated with a non-slip material designed to protect against slips and falls. This special surface helps keep students secure, even during the most active play.

This multi-purpose space encourages social interaction, making it a central hub for outdoor activities at Woolmer Hill School.
