The facility also includes fully accessible changing rooms, toilets and shower facilities, ancillary accommodation and a new hard play area.

To enhance sustainability and air quality, the building is equipped with Monodraught Windcatchers on the roof, providing natural ventilation throughout the space. The Sports Hall itself features a mono-pitched roof. To reduce the overall mass of the building

it is partially dug into the sloping site therefore reducing its visual mass. The building’s design combines durability and aesthetic appeal, with a robust brick façade at the lower level and grey Equitone (Tectiva) cladding at higher levels, arranged in a random pattern, with colour tones chosen to allowing it to blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment.

A new hard play area has been constructed to the North West of the new sports hall is directly linked to new facility.
